Cigarette burns

Let’s sit down and talk
Of things that are long gone

Of love that we wrought
Love that seems forever lost

With no place to call home
I wonder where it all went wrong

I wonder what it is about hitting a woman
That makes the man in you feel so strong

The back that you once kissed
You filled with cigarette burns

What is it about smell of my burnt flesh?
That feeds this euphoric madness of yours

The passion we shared a puff of a cigarette
All the meaning a ball of smoke

Just like that the pleasure is all gone
It has left me distraught

The cancer has settled in
Flesh has began to rot

Love forever lost
Or maybe there was nothing to begin with at all
